Terms for Contributors

Content Creation

1.1. As a contributor to Steer to Success (a “Contributor”), you agree that by creating, storing, or submitting any material – be it literature, instructional content, course plans, or any course-related information through the services – you irrevocably grant Steer to Success a non-exclusive, indefinite, royalty-free, freely transferable, and universal licence to copy, distribute, display, reference, excerpt, reformat, reuse, and create derivative works from such content for providing the services and promoting them. You acknowledge that this licence cannot be terminated once content is created, stored, or submitted.

1.2. Contributors are liable for all content created and hosted on the platform and retain all rights to their material. You warrant that you exclusively own or have obtained all necessary legal rights and permissions for the content you contribute. Contributors also confirm they possess the necessary teaching qualifications and may be subject to qualification verification, reference checks, and background checks as required by Steer to Success. Contributors may be asked to provide evidence of qualifications.

1.3. All content hosted on Steer to Success platforms must be created with the platform’s specific audience in mind, taking into account safeguarding considerations, appropriate dress code, modesty, language used, relevant topics, and the background visible in videos. This ensures that both the Contributor’s reputation and that of Steer to Success are protected.

1.4. Contributors understand that they will receive 80% of the net course fees (after the deduction of payment platform fees). Steer to Success will never impose any additional or hidden costs for hosting services. Contributors are responsible for declaring any income earned, in accordance with the tax regulations of their country of residence.

1.5. As part of a commitment to addressing educational disadvantage, Contributors acknowledge that Steer to Success grants free access to courses for Pupil Premium students in the UK and for students resitting their English language and maths GCSEs in the November immediately following their initial exam series. In both cases, schools must facilitate access on students’ behalf with proof of eligibility.

1.6. Contributors reserve the right to add to and update courses at their discretion, including altering pricing or pricing structures. Changes to pricing do not affect users who have already purchased lifetime access to a course.

Content Removal and Refund Policy

2.1. Contributors wishing to remove their content should contact hello@steertosuccess.co.uk to express their intention. Contributors will be required to agree on a notice period for their subscribers and must make any necessary refunds for courses sold with lifetime access. Contributors are solely responsible for managing their agreements with users/subscribers to the platform. Steer to Success bears no liability for any issues arising from removed courses or content.

2.2. Depending on the payment structure chosen, Contributors may opt to refund users for removed courses. Steer to Success does not issue refunds on behalf of Contributors, and users must contact the Contributor directly for any refund requests related to removed courses.

Content Liability

3.1. All content created and posted by Contributors is solely their responsibility. Steer to Success is not liable for any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any Contributor’s content. Contributors may only post content to the site if (a) they created and own the rights to the content or have the owner’s express written permission to post the content, and (b) the content does not infringe any other person’s or entity’s rights (including copyrights, trademarks, or privacy rights) or violate any applicable laws, these terms, or other posted policies. Steer to Success reserves the right, but is not obligated, to remove content for any reason.

Copyright Infringement

4.1. Steer to Success respects the rights of all copyright holders and has implemented a policy to address content that infringes on copyright. Contributors who believe their work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement should contact Steer to Success at hello@steertosuccess.co.uk with the following information:

  • identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works are involved, a representative list of such works;
  • identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or is the subject of infringing activity, with a request for its removal or restricted access, and information sufficient to locate the material;
  • information sufficient to permit us to contact the infringing and complaining parties;
  • a statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorised to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed; and
  • a physical or electronic signature of a person authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

4.2. Contributors agree to comply fully with the procedures and guidelines contained in these Terms.
