This course is delivered by the founder of Steer to Success, a fully-qualified English teacher with an honours degree in English and philosophy from the University of Liverpool. After graduating, she was one of the presidents of Liverpool Guild of Students and then went on to be selected for the prestigious Teach First Ambassadors Programme, through which she completed her PGCE at Canterbury Christ Church University with a specialism in secondary English teaching. Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
Throughout her extensive teaching career, she has held numerous leadership roles in some of the UK and Middle East’s most esteemed schools across the state, grammar, and private sectors. Her positions of responsibility have included overseeing teaching and learning initiatives, leading as a Head of Year with a focus on pastoral care, developing curriculum strategies as key stage coordinators, and mentoring and coaching fellow educators. These experiences have equipped her with a deep understanding of effective teaching practices and student development.
In addition to her classroom expertise, she has worked as an examiner for several years for major UK and international exam boards, offering valuable insights into the assessment process and ensuring students are well-prepared for exams. Her ability to support a diverse range of students is another hallmark of her career. She has extensive experience working with those with additional educational needs, including students with English as an additional language, and has a proven track record of nurturing gifted and talented students.
Beyond her teaching qualifications, she is a fully-qualified coach, having completed an ICF-accredited coaching programme, and is certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). This coaching expertise allows her to provide personalised support and guidance, helping students and adults alike to achieve their full potential.
